Big Mountains. Smooth Roads.

A trip weaving together multiple routes around Montana, splitting the nights between dispersed camping, bike lodges, and traditional campsites.

This route was ridden in early fall and proved to be an idyllic time of year in big sky country. The journey actually combined two bikepacking routes (Red Meadow Pass Loop and Whitefish Tamarack Forest Loop) from bikepacking.com to form a trip lasting five to six days depending on riding pace.

If you're looking for a route to appreciate the big mountains with plenty of bicycle friendly aamenities this one is for you.
